This book is everything I wanted it to be. It’s everything you hope it is from the way it’s pitched. I love the last of us, and I love the walking dead. This book combined the best parts of them. Minus the zombies. Which I love. You don’t need zombies to make an apocalypse story interesting.
Jamie and Andrew travel through America and the scenery is so atmospheric. There are looted stores. Empty houses. Evil people… and so much more. And it’s done perfectly.
Jamie and Andrew are both such great characters. I love them will all of my heart. Their relationship is so sweet. Their individual development sad but necessary in order to survive.
This book is definitely in my top 5 of all time. I cant wait to read everything Mister Brown publishes.

I first gave it 4 stars but who am I kidding…
I devoured this in two days (haven’t done that in ages) and loved everything about it. As soon as I put it down I wanted to pick it back up. The characters are wonderfully complex and they develop so well. The context of a post-apocalyptic story is wonderfully executed and slightly disgusting sometimes but just little enough to not wanna put it down. Im just genuinely impresses because my last post-apocalyptic read was well… dissapointing to say the least.

Llevo un rato tratando de decidir la calificación de este libro y creo que 4 es mi respuesta final.
Sinceramente pasé un gran momento leyendo este libro, la increíble personalidad de los personajes principales hizo que me interesara mucho más en su destino. Amo la idea, porque ya se necesitaba algo queer en lo apocalíptico, así que gracias. Sin embargo, siento que le faltó algo, creo que fue en el final, como que lo sentí tirado muy rápido y reduciéndose mucho.
Aun así, es un libro que vale la pena leer. La historia es rápida y la narración se favorece de la acción y el romance, por lo que no hay un punto aburrido. Los chicos protagonistas tienen algo de complejo en ellos sin necesidad de ir a más y funciona durante todo el viaje. La trama tiene una estructura sólida y me gustaron la mayoría de caminos que siguió.
Este libro sabe a leerlo con canciones de Imagine Dragons de fondo, eso es todo.
