The only criticism of this book I have is that I want more. I feel like this book very easily could have had its events drawn out longer, creating a series.
I was so invested not only in the slow burn of the relationship I was reading, but the events they often found themselves partaking in. Every situation the characters found themselves in was interesting, however they were often quickly resolved when they definitely could have been fleshed out more.
Both of the main characters were fun and interesting to read, I never found myself wishing I was reading from the others perspective.
I'll definitely be recommending this book.

okay so i loved this book so much !!!! i love post-apocalyptic stories, me being a huge ‘the walking dead game’ and ‘the last of us’ fan, is consequently the reason why i enjoyed this book a lot ! it was so ugh i can’t even explain it zhkwndiwbrhjrbr i loved it a lot. i’m so happy that there’s a happy ending cause i was doubting myself towards the end but thankfully everything turned out okay ! the writing was amazing too, thank god it wasn’t boring or bland or shitty. it was super exciting and very tense too ! definitely recommend :)

This one took me a while to read since I got into a bit of reading slump but overall it’s an okay book. I wish we got some more romantic scenes between Jamison and Andrew.We get a few scattered cute scenes between the two until near the end where the romance kicks in.
It was cute to see shy Jamison turn more brave when it came to Andrew, from a shy boy who couldn’t kill a deer to a courageous brave boy who wouldn’t hesitate to take action if Andrews safety was at stake.
Andrew falls in love first, from the time he leaves the cabin to Jamison coming to look for him, to the scene in the pitch black tunnel quickly filling with water, and of course we can’t forget the Fort California community situation.Andrew needed Jamison and Jamison made it clear from the beginning that he had Andrews back.
(These two are each others safe space and it really shows)
I liked both Jamison and Andrew but I still feel that the story was a bit flat, as said above there are some cute scenes but the real romance doesn’t come in until towards the end. It was sweet and these two clearly love one another but i think I was just expecting a bit more plot wise.

Jamison protecting Andrew when Howard pulls a gun on him. (Page 76, the second to last paragraph)
-This scene proves just how quick that Jamison had formed a bond with Andrew.
When Andrew leaves the cabin and Jamison leaves to finds him.
-Jamison coming to find him clearly meant a lot to Andrew, though he tried to hide from him, the moment Jamison gets out of sight Andrew realizes how much he needed and missed him. (Page 88-89)
