I liked this book a lot! There are some places where I felt it could have been more exciting (the action scenes were really confused) but overall the story was so cool with the parallel Londons and I really enjoyed the main characters. I listened to it as an audiobook, so I might have missed some things but I have lots of questions and am excited for the next book!

I know this is a series but I feel it really could stand alone so well. I love Lila's character a lot and I want to see more Rhy in the next book!

I really enjoyed the story and pace of the book it was definitely full of adventure. The world building and magic system was simple but unique. 

I am docking some points because I felt like I could have fallen more in love with the characters had there been more! I wanted more banter between Kell and Laila.

I will be reading the book.
