Had so much fun reading this. (It still had some moments where I was like 🤨🤨🤨)

But overall I love Cam!

Brilliant. One of my favorite books of all time for two reasons: 1. Made me laugh out loud more than any other romance I've ever read. 2. Best MMC of any romance I've ever read (and there's stiff competition for this one.)
This is a slow burn romance with oodles of chemistry between the FMC and MMC. The FMC is endearing and witty. I enjoyed this story from beginning to end and couldn't wait until the FMC realized what had been standing right in front of her all along.
I didn't understand some of the negative reviews for this book regarding the FMC's feelings toward the MMC. The FMC had obvious growing feelings toward the MMC for which she was oblivious to. She wrote a sonnet about his eyes, for goodness sake. She couldn't kiss the man she thought she was in love with for TEN YEARS, for goodness sake. There are many other examples. How could anyone read this story and think the FMC didn't demonstrate feelings toward the MMC until the last quarter of the book?
Don't miss this one. I listened to the audiobook and enjoyed it immensely.

I'm already a fan of the ennemies to lovers trope, but this one was very well done. It was super cute and had a ton of tension without being an insta-love kind of thing. I loved the way Joellen's insecurities are handled and how Cameron treats her. And this isn't in the novel so to speak, but the story in the acknowledgements broke my heart.

Great MMC. Too much self loathing and internalized misogyny on the part of FMC for my liking. Overall, a fun read.

Melt for you was such a good read! Joellen made me want to shake her to wake her up sometimes but overall the book was great. I so enjoyed Cam and Joellen’s unexpected bond. This was funny, sweet, a little steamy, and definitely a reread!

I’d definitely recommend this book! I read it in one night and couldn’t put it down. Beautifully written and the MCs’ relationship is so fun and cute and touching, but still fiery! Only downside for me were the moments when the dialogue got a bit cis-heteronormative, like jokes about the MMC’s masculinity in reference to a pink robe or not drinking a sissy drink like wine. They were joking, but just in the way the MMC is confident in his masculinity rather than showing that he’s still masculine even when acting/dressing in ways society deems less masculine (which would’ve been an easy way to show that men can be masculine and even dominant without needing to be all anger no emotions)— though that point was reached overall, the bits calling out certain clothing/drinks/actions as “sissy” vs “manly” just took me out of it, even if the MCs were joking
