There were some things I liked about this one. But many I didn’t. The wordiness being a prime example of what I didn’t like. This author is so dang repetitive. She will say one thing in a sentence then repeat it again with different words. She does this a lot. It could easily be 100 pages less if she would stop.

I also just got bored and found myself skimming a lot. And I struggle with the hero being a satyr and not having a more human form. Idk. Beastiality just isn’t my thing.

But the overall story is intriguing. I like the premise. I just wish the author would edit and be more precise.

This book is WILD. The word choice is absolutely maddening, it takes you out of the story almost every third sentence. It's truly like they tripped and fell backwards into an SAT prep book in the worst of ways. The plot is practically non-existent, I dont think anyone actually looked at how time is portrayed? Because it makes no sense and feels very inconsistent. I felt like Pucks character was well fleshed out and written, but Juniper was all over the freaking map. There are large sections of this book I just had to skim through for my sanity, and I still don't understand many of the ways they decided to develop the story.

Only reading a book 3 because I know I will literally never understand what's happening if I decide to come back to this series in the future.

Great follow up to the first book and the ending left me dying for book 3. Can't wait to see Cove's experience with the water prince, Elixir! Really liking how the different realms and magics give each romance in the series it's own flair without feeling too similar to each other while still keeping that fantastic enemies to lovers tension each time.
