this book is too long and i hate the edward he is a 40 year old man. I did not like it when her biological cousin proposed to her. justice for bertha maybe she went insane because you locked her up in an attic after marrying her. This would have hit if i was reading this in the 19th century. not a bad roman a clef at all but 500 pages if a bit much for what it was giving. it's saving grace is it's prose as it was very lyrical, emotive, and affective in a way that is only gifted via innate talent and i thoroughly enjoyed that. but i am not upset that i have reached the end of this book

Reader, I reviewed it.

There are books that entertain, and then there are books that shape you. Jane Eyre is firmly in the second category. It doesn’t just tell a story—it challenges you to grow with Jane.
At first, it seems like the story of a poor orphan girl with a hard life. But Jane is not weak or helpless. She’s smart, pays attention, and stands up for herself, even when the world tries to keep her small. She doesn’t need to yell to be strong—she just speaks the truth and expects people to listen. That quiet strength is part of what makes her so powerful.
Then there’s Mr. Rochester. He’s a complicated and moody man, but he’s interesting to read about. His relationship with Jane is strong and sometimes difficult, but what makes it special is that Jane never changes who she is for him. She loves him, but only in a way that stays true to herself.
This book is more than a love story. It’s about a woman trying to find her place in a world that doesn’t see her. The writing is lovely, the story is full of feeling, and Jane is the kind of character you really care about.

Jane Eyre is a classic for a reason. It’s thoughtful, emotional, and way ahead of its time. If you like strong characters and stories about love that don’t forget about self-worth, this one’s for you.

Highly recommended for:
✔️Romantic rebels
✔️Goth girls with standards
✔️Anyone who’s ever shouted “YOU DESERVE BETTER!” at a book

This will always be one of my favorite books.

No sé ni qué decir; he reído, he llorado y noto ese sentimiento de haber experimentado algo que me va a acompañar por el resto de mi vida. No puedo decir nada mejor de una obra de arte ❤️‍
