“Mr. Rochester...”
”Mr. Rochester-“
”mR. RocHeSTer.”
*a way too big of a gasp*
”MR. ROCHESTER.”
”oh. God.”
Anyways, Jane Eyre is probably one of the most inspirational female book characters out there. She is so freaking tough, eloquent and quick-witted and intelligent. I aspire to be even half of her greatness, compassion, stubbornness, and confidence. If you haven’t read this, you’re missing out.

I tend to conflate in my head the female writers of the past centuries, and since I don't really care for Austen or Eliot, I had been putting this off. In error, I now see, for where I find it impossible to empathise with any of the characters within the aforementioned, Brontë's actually feel like real people.

Being inside the mind of a brave and smart person who is wholly convinced of their lack of self-worth is so sad man.

Spoiler Alert.
Thank God that Jane didn't marry her cousin. That would have straight-up pissed me off.
