The concept was cute and it was enjoyable to read.

Loved how the fairytale was interwoven between the prospectives.

Disappointing ending.

I really liked this book (just to verify I gave it 3.5 stars) and I enjoy the concept that characters in books have a life when they're not being read. One line that really captured my interest and made my heart flutter was this:

"Oliver's eyes lit upon her silver hair, her violet eyes, her heart-shaped face. And just like that, something inside shifted very subtly, so that all the empty spaces in him suddenly disappeared, so that his breath was timed to hers, so that his blood sang. This was why there was music, he realized. There were some feelings that just didn't have words big enough to describe them."

Now even though that line was not for the couple I wished it was for, it was still a perfect line and I had to read it aloud to my Mom as soon as I saw it.

Between the Lines is a book about a girl named Delilah who has a strange addiction to a 60 page-long fairy tale for children. She found it upside down, backwards, and in the wrong section in her library, but when she went to put it back it shocked her. She checks it out every single week and she can't stop reading it. She wishes Oliver were real, he's a prince and he is perfect.

On the other hand there is Oliver. He is a prince and he solves his problems not by violence but by cleverness. There is no "Once Upon a Time" it's more like ten times or a hundred. Every time the reader opens the book he finds himself in the right scene with the right clothes. It's all same old, same old, till now. He is real even though he is in a book and Delilah is the first person to notice that he is.

This book is really cute and it has some nice comedy and action as well. It's an easy read and I am planning on reading [b:Off the Page|23278280|Off the Page|Jodi Picoult|https://d.gr-assets.com/books/1423002176s/23278280.jpg|42817037] soon.

Certainly not the Jodi Picoult I am used to . It was a cheesy romance novel. The multiple narrators were done well but ultimately not my kind of book.

I really wanted to like this book, but I just couldn't get into it. It felt like the story really lagged and could have been told in a much more concise manner.

The concept is really great, but I feel as if the concept wasn't utilized as great as I thought it could have been in this book. Also, Delilah felt too mature for a fifteen year old. I kept seeing her as an older character than she actually was.

The fairy tale in the between chapters didn't really interest me too much, as I was far more interested in the story between Delilah and Oliver.

Overall, it could have been better, I felt.

Between the Lines is a really cute book. It has Delilah and Oliver has the two main characters. However, they aren't the same kind of people. Oliver is in a book. Delilah is in the real world and she is reading the book that Oliver is a main character in. He is her fictional crush - but is he really fictional?

Again, this book was completely adorable and really different from the other books I've been reading lately. Plus, I absolutely love Jodi Picoult books. I'm so close to owning all of her books! I loved everything about Delilah and Oliver. I feel like Delilah is like a long lost twin of mine because we both just love books so much. Now I probably would've freaked out if a character in a book/tv show/movie would just start talking to me.. I'd probably also think I was going crazy. Like, bat shit crazy. So mad props to Delilah for staying cool as a cucumber throughout the book.

Now. other than that, I'm super jealous that Delilah got the opportunity to jump into his book. Even though she wasn't a big fan of Oliver not asking her but I would've been so freaking excited. I'd also probably faint. Then freak out. Who knows - because it hasn't happened to me yet.

I can't wait to read the next book, or any other book of Jodi Picoult's. I need more from her and I just need an adorable book again. I really enjoyed Between the Lines.
