This book put a smile on my face and warmed my heart 💗
This was very cute. It's a nice quick read and came with a Christmas playlist. I love playlists and i actually think this might have been what's been missing in my other Christmas reads because this book felt the most festive to me but i don't think it actually was i think just having the Christmas playlist put me in the mood in a way that just reading without the music wasn't.
There's some great representation in this one. Our main character is autistic - everyone knows I have a soft spot for autistic leads - so i loved that. She's also demisexual which i feel like i didn't really get a good grasp on what that meant for this character because the circumstances of the relationship and the briefness of the story meant she started lusting after Jonathon pretty quickly from my perspective. Jonathon also has a diagnosis but i won't say because it could be seen as a spoiler.
Their first kiss was so adorable. Very well written and atmospheric so i was quite excited for them to really get together. However, I did feel like the end was a bit rushed and Jonathon's character seemed to do an about-face. His whole thing was that he showed his affection for her by quietly and humbly doing things for her, like baking cookies, removing the lilies from her bouquet because she can't handle strong fragrances, changing his cologne for the same reason, buying her favourite chocolates to apologise but he was never good at the actual communication part like telling her the cookies were for her or actually apologising if that makes sense. So then at the end when he's describing eloquently how he feels about her it didn't really feel right.
However, i am interested in reading more of Chloe Liese's work now and am glad i read this so 3.5 stars.

This is like a spicy hallmark Christmas movie and I might be trash for loving it but I don’t care 😂
It’s cheesy and everything is convenient and cliché. But if you go in expecting spicy hallmark vibes you’re gonna love it and not be disappointed 😂

I love a love story with enemies to lovers. A bad first impression. I love the representation and how they figure out how to love each those for exactly who they are. The third character of the library is rad too. I very much enjoyed this cheery book.
Minor: Emotional abuse, Sexual content, Gaslighting
