Ahhh, this was such a sweet book. Very much as billed so I was very satisfied with what I got. It was a fast little feel-good time.

Chloe Liese does what she does well. Love her characters and especially how she shows diversity in how autism looks and feels.

And what a treat to get Jacob Morgan/Zachary Webber's voice in the epilogue! *swoon*

cute little slow burn novella. nothing ground breaking but very similar to other stuff this author has written which I enjoy). It had good diversity with the medical condition and neurodiversity aspect. I kind wish it was longer and not just a little novella. I wanted more of the hockey part- that was kinda hot

3.5 stars - read for Amy’s Book Club Dec ‘23

Overall I think this was a fun and festive book which handled some personal/health related topics respectfully and in a refreshing way.

However, I found the book very predictable. I also don’t think it was ever really an “enemies” to lovers character arc - it was only ever a misunderstanding and a grudge.

As a romance book, it was perfectly fine. The chemistry kept things entertaining but I think the pacing was a bit off in places. For the most part, there wasn’t too much repetition of literary devices and descriptions to the point where it could be irritating or cringey - although it might have become more grating if the book itself were longer.
