I loved seeing this damaged side of Preppy. This series just gets better and better!
OK. Preppy is it. Preppy is everything. I laugh and cry and swoon SO MUCH WITH HIM. I love this fucked up crazy group. And that cliffy?! Part 3 is in my near future!!
Be still my beating heart!!!!!!
As much as I wanted to take my time with this book, to savour every word written in the pages I couldn't. I devoured it. Just kept reading until I hit 'the end' and was left my heart beating wildly out of my chest and tears in my eyes.
I honestly don't know why I am so surprised with how Preppy's books have turned out but TM still manages it. She surpasses any and all expectations you could ever have with these books but in such a fantastic fucking way!!!
Picking up where we left off in the first book we are taken on the rollercoaster journey of how Preppy learns to live in a world that he no longer recognises.
But how does someone overcome the horrific trauma that he's endured?
...It isn't without its hurdles that's for sure.
And Dre...she got a whole lot more than she bargained for when she returned to tie up lose ends. And although so much time has passed her feelings for Preppy never waned. But she is holding something back and in order to move forward it must be brought to light.
With insights of how the return of Preppy has affected all those he loved TM doesn't miss anything out. She keeps you on the edge of your seat while you hold on to sheer hope that you come out the other side in one piece.
I loved it, I really really did but that ending...in true TM style she leaves us hanging on the precipice of the water tower cursing like a motherfucker.
I just hope we don't have to wait too long for a hand to pull us back up.
Preppy near broke my heart..I'm sorry Prep it's not out of pity (as I know you hate that) but damn, I felt as though I wanted to help you. To be there for you and to help silence the world and darken the sun for you.
Well done TM, well fucking done!!!

Another cliffhanger. Pretty sure I'm done with this series. The illogical situations are bothersome. (someone wakes briefly from a coma yet has the strength to nearly choke a woman to death? No. I had this problem with the last book and the completely illogical heroin recovery. Sigh.) The jumpy narrative makes it difficult to sense a real time shift. Chapters jump ahead by weeks or months and it's often difficult to pick that up from the narrative, requiring backtracking to figure it out. But the main reason I didn't care so much for this is that there was very little romantic feeling and the main character wasn't nearly the vibrant, interesting Preppy that he was in other books. Granted he'd been through some issues but he was kind of a dull character here. Didn't feel like much of a romance at all.

Honestly the second book in this Preppy Trilogy wasn't my favorite.
I think it was the lot of back and forth of "no we shouldn't" and "yes we should" that had me rolling my eyes a few times.
I think that Preppy being as fun loving as he is really had to push through and show a different side to him. I would have preferred him and Dre to talk about what happened in Narnia sooner.
There were some parts towards the end that felt either rushed or choppy because I felt like it didn't flow as well as the other books.
Overall it doesn't change that Preppy is still one of my favorite characters, I don't think I have cried so much for a character than I have with Preppy!
