It was almost 3.5 stars, and then that crap happened at the end. (eyeroll). I did like this one better than the first installment.

This one was so sad and depressing.

It was still very good, but Preppy is back from his capture and torture and there’s A LOT of emotional healing that he’s going through. So he’s not his usual Preppy self for most of it (understandably). As hard as it was to watch, I thought it was realistic. Not only is he dealing with the trauma of his capture, but when he gets back literally everything has changed — King is engaged with 3 kids, Bear is engaged with a kid on the way, Grace is dead, his room has changed and all of his stuff has been donated. I mean, there isn’t a single thing that hasn’t been turned upside down for him. The poor guy. So his healing process was done well, but also so sad to watch.

I’m not sure what else to say about this one. It was really good, but it was also a huge emotional roller coaster. I’m happy that Preppy made it through the healing process and that Dre was just what he needed for that. My favorite parts were her following him around town to do his “favorite pastimes”, which mainly involved illegal activities like vandalism. Lol It was just the right kind of Preppy things that he needed to do to feel normal again.

I will say that the ending kind of seemed to come out of nowhere. The book basically could’ve wrapped up Preppy and Dre’s story, and if felt like it was doing just that. And then the ending just — BAM — came out of left field. It just felt like a random ending that allowed for the author to write another book. Not sure how I feel about this. It felt like an afterthought, but hey, it means I get to read more Preppy so should I be complaining? Lol The only possible tie in would be the weird events that happened at the hospital and possibly his brother Kevin. Maybe this has to do with his real dad? We will see…

I just hope we get more of the real Preppy in this next book. I need his inappropriate badassness back.

Rehab, water towers, bow ties ... oh my!

Loved reading more about the life, death and rebirth of that magnificent Samuel Clearwater. Preppy had my heart breaking and laughing from one minute to the next. The love of family and the bond shared between him and Dre (I was rolling over the Dr Dre restraining order) runs so deep that it makes even the most hardened of hearts melt. I can't wait to see how they rally and come together for Doc in Part 3.

**I received a free copy of this book to read and review for Wicked Reads.**

Preppy's alive...but is he really?

Preppy's come back to a world he doesn't recognize. Everyone he knows and loves has kept living or died while he was being tortured. He's not the same person he was and he's having trouble figuring out how to get back some of the Preppy he lost.

I have loved King from day one and any glimpse I get of him makes me happy. Losing Preppy broke my heart but watching him struggle to find himself is heart breaking as well. Can he finally find the happiness he craves?

Ms. Frazier does an amazing job showing you all sides to Preppy.

I can't wait for the third installment of his story.

I thought T.M. killed me with emotions in the first book in this series for Preppy, but no, she had to go and utterly destroy my emotions with this book. I was left a complete wreck after this book and yet I am so addicted to these books, that I cannot wait for the next one. I am always left wanting more. I could never tire of reading about Preppy. He has always been one of my favorite characters in these books. I absolutely love King and Bear and everyone else, but Preppy, there is just something about him, that steals my heart. I love this character and I think that TM created the perfect complement to him with Dre. She is stubborn, independent, feisty and I love her. She is perfect for Preppy. I also enjoyed getting to see everyone else come back. I really missed all the characters. I didn't think I would say it but I actually loved this book more than the first if that is even possible with how much I loved the first Preppy book. I am dying for the next. I can't wait to see where TM will take these characters and her readers in the next story.
