It's a perfect for a first approche around pronouns for very young kids. It shows the very basic thing that it to ask someone how they want to be called. It also presents different types of she/her/hers, he/him/his, they/them/theirs but also less familiar pronouns like xe, ze, zie, sie, co, or questioning, or all pronouns. The characters are of different ages, and with different body shapes or can be with a disability. All this make it more inclusive and a nice way to start the discussion with your kid

since this book meant for very young kids as an extremely basic introduction to the idea of personal pronouns, it starts with one important point (how do you what someone wants to be called? ask!), and then proceeds to show people expressing their gender in a variety of ways with their pronouns on-page. showing that you can't know someone's pronouns just by looking at them and I love this, it's so cute.

highly recommend for young readers!

Straight-forward, visually diverse illustration of the range of pronouns. Words center around how to know someone's pronouns and what they might be. Good discussion starter for any age.

I didn't realize at first reading a digital galley that this was a board book. That makes more sense with the simplicity.
