A bit of a thriller, a bit of a mystery and love story with heat. That's what A Kiss to Tell by Willow Winters is for me.
This story of Sebastian and Chloe (love the name! Hee hee...) is riveting.
Chloe is a victim of her environment. She tries to preserve with the life she has. But deep down she longs for more, she longs for better, she longs for Sebastian.
Sebastian too is a victim of his environment. He thinks he doesn't deserve more, doesn't deserve better, doesn't deserve Chloe. He's been watching over her since they were children. He wants to be more, but doesn't know how.
This story is a page turner. I loved where my mind went when I was reading. The nightmares, the paranoia. I was thinking one way and Willow flipped the script! I love the fact that it kept me guessing until the end.
This story is a stand alone, but there is a touch of her other books in this story. It was intriguing!

I can't shake the feeling that there was something missing. Maybe I would've liked more information to wrap up the story to tie a few loose ends together. But the writing of this author hooked me and made me feel things for the characters.

This book was not like other romantic suspense books I've read but, I loved how different it was! It pulled me in and kept me needing to know more. Sebastian was exactly what you want in a book boyfriend, mysterious, dark and intriguing. Chloe was a simple girl and all she wanted was someone to want her. Both Sebastian and Chloe have had hard lives, now with no family or really any friends. The way Sebastian expresses how he feels about Chloe, makes you melt and I highlighted quite a few of his lines because they were so raw and left me yearning for someone to feel that way about me. I loved the story, it was dark and so enthralling. You get to meet characters that I know have their own books and I'm excited to get more of them and hopefully to see more of Sebastian and Chloe! A Kiss To Keep is next and I can't wait to read it, though I know it's short, and it'll leave me wanting more of this amazing couple!
OK so I absolutely loved this book. It’s a shortish book about Sebastian and Chloe which you briefly get to know who they are in the first merciless saga. But you also got a taste of what Young Carter Cross was like which makes a lot of sense when you then go and read his book. I also loved that those Sebastian was a tough guy he was never like a brutal murderer the way that the Cross Brothers ended up being. His was more love driven.
I wasn't sure what to expect, but I love it. That twist.
