I mean, preaching to the choir so of course I loved this. I mean, reading and art. (I'm going to assume they'll count artisan crafts as art, they don't seem like the exclusive sort.)

Picked this up on a recent trip to Michigan (where my partner in crime is from) and I am so happy I did. As someone that is getting ready to take a huge leap this was so inspiring and made me excited about my next chapter in my life. Absolute magic… pick this one up! I will keep it around as a reminder to myself on those days I am feeling down.
I liked this book, unsurprisingly. Gaiman’s words are inspirational, and most of the images are amusing and a little quirky. 4 stars
One image that looked to resemble a generic Muslim man, however, bothered me. It accompanies a set of Gaiman's statements not to let hatred or violence deter one. I felt that this was a cheap, lazy, and racist route to take to illustrate this point. Minus one star for this.

A short collection of four essays by Neil Gaiman that are genuinely inspirational - why we should share ideas, why we should read, why we should persevere, and why we should be brave in making our art.

A passionate plea - defense - call to arms? A really STRONG statement about the importance of reading fiction, of libraries and librarians, and most importantly, encouraging our kids to find the stories that touch their hearts and minds.

Gaiman provides helpful commentary on creativity. This is a short read and it feels like these are extra thoughts that he has laying around. Since these are Gaiman thoughts, however, they are presented with conviction. He has me sold.
Kinda want to write something. Or read. Or sing. Or dance.
