Very interesting book on her story but a little slow at times.

I am amazed at the courage Natascha Kampusch has. She had to live through everyone's worst nightmare, then finally, after eight and a half (3,096 days to be exact), she breaks through the emotional barriers. She becomes free, only to be questioned immediately by the police, who failed her multiple times. They suggest that she change her identity to live a normal life, and she refuses—yet another example of her strength. Natascha Kampusch is a real-life example of what power is. Her kidnapper may have appeared to have power, but Kampusch holds such bravery and self-perseverance, and pure power that is just inspiring to read. I'm grateful to have read her story and that she feels empowered and free after writing it. To the critics who rate this book lower because Kampusch doesn't reveal all the abuse (sexual), I feel sad that people have developed such desensitization to violence that all the many examples of the horrible things that Natascha Kampusch had to endure were not enough to satisfy. After how the media treated Natascha, I'm appreciative she is willing to share any portion of her experience, only four years after her escape.

WOW this was intense! i leave the rating away because i think you can't rate it when somebody tells you in detail how she was treated by a psycho i think it's totally brave of her that she has wrote a book and that there is going to be a movie (it comes out TOMORROW --> perfect timing)
and i'm definitely going to see it. Yeah so try to understand why i'm NOT rate this or if you want to understand just read it.

Read this as a school assignment, but it got to a point where it got too much and i had to take a breather. This poor girl and everything she went through. It is sad to see the way he manipulated a young child and ruined her child/teenage years.
