Sunshine & Devil
After their first kiss a year prior, Grayson and Maddie can no longer fight their feelings for each other anymore. Grayson will stop at nothing to protect his sunshine from any harm that comes her way especially with being in the city and part of the mafia. They're finally going to be a couple and make it work no matter what gets thrown their way. The spicey scenes between them are heated with chemistry too.

Series: “Beneath the Mask” by Luna Mason
**May contain spoilers**
This series consists of 4 books:
Book 1: Distance
This book delves into the lives of Keller and Sienna. Sienna, striving to rebuild her life post-infidelity, crosses paths with Keller, an underground fighter and mafia enforcer. Their chemistry ignites, setting the stage for a passionate journey.
Book 2: Detonate
Grayson, a hardened mafia hitman, meets Maddie, a woman in search of her fairytale ending. Despite Grayson’s scars from past betrayals, and Maddie’s romantic ideals, they find solace in each other’s arms, overcoming personal hurdles along the way.
Book 3: Devoted
Luca, the formidable mafia boss, unexpectedly falls for Rosa, the daughter of his enemy, whom he kidnaps. As their bond deepens, Rosa grapples with addiction, unaware of the impending rescue awaiting her.
Book 4: Detained
Frankie, disillusioned by heartbreak and loss within the mafia, seeks vengeance. Zara O’Reilly, also known as Detective Zara, crosses paths with Frankie, her determination matching his. Together, they navigate a world fraught with danger and desire.
This series was a great read! The chemistry between each main character was evident, drawing me in from the very first page. While the plot was engaging, it did lean towards predictability. However, that didn’t detract from my enjoyment or curiosity about what would unfold next.
If I could change one thing in all the books, it would be the pace of the relationships. The love between the main characters seemed to develop rather swiftly, lacking a bit in the banter department. While it’s admittedly intriguing to see tough mafia men swoon, it did feel somewhat repetitive across the books.
Additionally, I expected a darker tone given the genre categorization, but found the series to be more on the lighter side, despite the presence of smut. Maybe I’ve just consumed too many truly dark reads and this series was light for me
