I was really excited to read this book but I was kind of disappointed. Yes it had good spicy scenes but the story wasn’t as explosive as I was expecting it to be from how the first book started to tell the main characters of this story. It was still a good book I would recommend to read but the story is somewhat predictable and not the most original.

Great second installment in the Beneath the Mask series! I gave it 4/5 stars overall because I would have liked to have seen more plot. The spice was on point, but there was a loooot. Not complaining by any means, I would have just liked more plot throughout. The last 1/3 of the book was pretty intense, so I know Luna can write great plot! Grayson & Maddie are absolutely adorable. I loved them just as much as Keller & Sienna from the first book. The grumpy x sunshine trope is definitely growing on me! Overall, plot could be more present throughout, but it was still an easy, enjoyable read that I highly recommend!

Maddie is so perfectly original and Grayson is so deliciously possessive! I honestly couldn’t decide which one I wanted more of! They play on an enemies to lovers but really they both knew this was going to be the one relationship that ends their single period forever. Maddie is strong but not without fault, and I feel like that’s what makes her so realistic! And Grayson’s “no kiss rule” is just a result of the damage done by his ex wife and dead best friend.
This book is highly recommended and so worth your time. I devoured it within a day! Enjoy Sunshine!

gang i literally read this book in three hours.
okay so i liked this book more cause hello they literally couldn’t stand eachother in the beginning??? if you know me, enemies to lovers and arranged marriages are MY tropes. i wouldn’t really call grayson and maddie enemies but they didn’t really like eachother.
the only reason why this book got 4/5 stars is because maddie got pregnant. i have nothing against the pregnancy trope but the same thing happened to sienna in book one. the way they found out was even the same. both of the women got attacked and they found out in the hospital.
pls i didn’t expect grayson to have already gotten married before and that’s why he doesn’t want to fall in love again. and im sorry but his wife was fucking his best friend????
i loved that when maddie and grayson got married grayson said
“im not going to wear our wedding ring. i’m getting your initial tattooed onto me. rings come off, tattoos don’t. i’ll wear the ring around my neck as a necklace” (that’s not word for word but that’s basically the gist of it)
anyways i know i said i was only going to read the first two books but book three is about luca sooo…..
