Not worth the read. The author was trying to set up too many suspects. The main character was boring and it was so weird that she was trying to investigate this incident and being convinced of the murderer and being wrong every time. And then there was a sub romance plot…? It didn’t make sense.

When at a friends party, Kiki runs into her ex-fiance, Jaime, and they have an awkward but normal conversation. When Jamie is found in his car later that night dead of a gunshot wound, the initial ruling is a suicide. Kiki cannot believe Jaime would take his own life and starts digging around to try and uncover the truth, which could not only solve what may have happened to Jaime but also unearth information about a cold case from years ago.
While I enjoyed listening to the book, when writing the review about a week after I finished it, I struggled to remember how it endedJaime was going to submit a sample to a genetic testing site and told his cousin. His cousin's son had killed a young women years ago and was worried the police would be able to make a familial connection and killed Jaime
