A chill enjoyable read. A whodonit type of story with a second chance romance in the midst of it. Oh, and ghost.
The paranormal was a bit subdued and felt very ghost wisperer/mentalist. But some of those ghosts were fun to interact with. I liked that MMC didn't understand how it worked and that he was more or less accepting of his ability.

Oh, this was absolutely wonderful. I adored Rain as a main character, so complex and real. But all the side characters were equally great and all the snark and banter just gave me life. I loved how the mystery and romance went hand in hand and neither overtook the other at any point. It was perfectly balanced. And yes, it was funny too! This book reminded me a lot of Alice Winters' Medium Trouble series, though the humour in this book is more subtle and less over the top as Alice Winters' work tends to be. (Don't get me wrong, I love her books to pieces and you should definitely read them.)
I highly recommend this book if you love mysteries with a side of paranormal and a great (and at times hot) romance between two wonderful characters. I for one am going to dive into the sequel right away.

I’ve really got my reading mojo back this month.
I really wasn’t sure this was going to be my thing going in but I’d seen loads of hype about the latest book in the series and I got fomo.
This was soooooo good. Rain and Danny were so witty and hilarious I could read about them bantering all day long, honestly.
I did correctly guess the murderer at around halfway but it didn’t ruin the story, I just got to feel really smug when I was right.
Can already tell I’m going to binge the whole series and I can’t wait!

This audiobook was fantastic. loved the voice actor's renditions of the two main characters. And the story was so good. I have such a weakness for mm mysteries and cop romances. Throw in a paranormal aspect and l'm in! Looking forward the rest of the audiobooks.

Overall I enjoyed it and thought Rain and Danny had a great chemistry. But something was missing to make the book particularly memorable to me.
