Lisa Jackson is one of my favourite authors. However, this one didn't really leave me with the same satisfied feeling!

A couple of things that annoyed me in this book included the main character Brooke, her bratty daughter also irritated me and I wasn't a fan of the cheating, surprise pregnancy, and a miscarriage in poor taste.

I found the twists in this book to be a little predictable, and at times, there seemed to be too much crammed in which left it feeling rushed. The ending, for example, was super predictable but finished so abruptly that it could have been better written to tie everything together, and the epilogue seemed a waste of time.

Was this predictable at times? Yes.

Did I like it? Also yes.

This book is like the box of chocolates Forrest Gump's Mama was talking about, because it is a little of everything and you don't know what you are going to get next.

Thank you Goodreads/Kensington Publishing for my giveaway copy!

This was an intense, unputdownable and fast-paced thriller with several unlikeable characters. I was hooked from the first chapter and was on the edge of my seat for most of the book.

I loved Gideon’s creepy, stalker vibes and kept thinking how far he would go to get what he wanted.

Some twists were a bit predictable and the ending was a bit abrupt, but overall, it was a wild ride. Lisa’s writing style kept me guessing.

If you are looking for a psychological thriller with cheating scandal, stalking and family drama, then ai would recommend this book.

Thank you so much Lisa Jackson, Kensington Publishing and Netgalley for this ARC copy!

I usually love this author but I was slightly disappointed with this book. The book did have great characters that were realistic, and a few surprising plot twists, but I struggled to finish it because it seemed to drag on in places and repeat thoughts of the character several times. I will continue to read her books because I am hoping this is just a one time change in writing capabilities. It isn't a bad book, but I had it so built up ahead of time because I have read several of her other books.

Family drama, cheating, and bratty teenagers. Pfft

This is a standard: she's cheating and the ex-lover is stalking/threatening, he (husband) has a wandering eye, sassy/angst teenager daughter, screwed up sister, missing teenage girls - too much. Book was boring and DNF.
