I liked it a lot. To be honest I kind of liked it better before they got together, they were so goofy, but it was very sweet how they helped each other and how oblivious she is to him liking her. I also really like the cast of characters, there weren't a ton of secondary peeps but the ones who were there were really great.

It's a very cute retelling of Beauty and the Beast, and I enjoyed the concept. Unfortunately, I did find it a bit repetitive at points, but that also does make sense given the story that it's based on. Some of the elements to bring in the Beauty and the Beast concept were also a little eyeroll-worthy, but overall, it was a fine read! I had fun with it, but I don't think it will stick with me for a particularly long time.

This was a cute book. I liked the characters though I expected something more. I liked how MMC was into FMC AND HE BAKES. I love it!!!
The book was nice but not my favourite. I loved Beauty and Beast and my references were nice but a little too on the nose. Really, FMC talked to the bathtub?? Too much.

Might one of my favorite books I’ve read this year. Throughly enjoyed this modern retelling of Beauty and the Beast, it really felt like a modern fairytale. I also thought that I wouldn’t like a “closed door” romance but I quite enjoyed it. I can’t wait to check more books from the meant to be series.
I really enjoyed this! I found Izzy relatable with her bookish-ness of course but also her insecurities and anxieties. I would not have been able to summon the courage to approach this reclusive celebrity like she did and also they way she held her ground throughout I would struggle with that, and I really admired that about her. I also really liked Beau as a love interest. He seems gruff on the outside but his hidden depths were fun to uncover. I enjoyed their relationship and they way they came together and got to know one another and help each other heal and grow was really nice. And I found the ending really sweet and heartwarming. There was also some great communication between the couple. I also liked that the book didn't look down at Izzy for still living at home as an adult and I found it relatable with her needing that support and utilizing her parents' support but also feeling the desire to move out and have her own space once she felt able to do it. This was fun and endearing while also having some deeper moments. I'm really glad I picked this one up and I'm looking forward to continuing on with the series.
