I’ve finally learned my lesson that besides a few exceptions, King literature is not for me.

The Odyssey of horror. Absolutely fantastic. Took me a good minute to read, but i was completely engulfed in the story from start to finish that I dreamed about it. Stephen King wrote in one book what some authors can’t do in a series. 5/5 stars!!!!!

What an epic saga. I have only previously read one Stephen King novel and it was not at all like this. I was so utterly lost in the ease of his storytelling and characterization that it didn't seem daunting to be reading "a long book". If it had been twice as long I think I would have continued to relish it.
I took my time with it, but the last third or so I couldn't put down (apart from a week of illness where I couldn't read). It had such distinct phases and was incredibly disquieting in the early part due to the echos of a global pandemic.
With it being so epic, and there being so many characters, it was obvious that some would be lost. But even so my breath was taken away and I was moved to tears at multiple points. At other points I cheered out loud.
I honestly did not want this book to end and am not sure what I will pick up next so fill the void. (Maybe go opposite end and read some Roald Dahl children's novels)
