This is one of the most compelling books I’ve read on the topic of dismantling white supremacy and patriarchy. The book made me uncomfortable, mad, inspired, and inquisitive — all in a useful way.

I wouldn't consider myself a spiritual person so I wasn't sure if the Spiritual Activism concept would connect with me, but I found this book really challenging and also soothing in a way that felt like talking to someone you know well. I was able to connect with the author and the way that she talks about taking action to end white supremacy's stranglehold on the globe. I really liked the exercises at the end of each chapter and how real the language is throughout the book. Recommend this one for sure, it will show just how crucial the work of supporting Black and Indigenous liberation is.

This book was excellent. If you just starting your journey to fight white supremacy, this is not the book for you. I’m sure it would be fine if you did start here but would suggest you start elsewhere and come to this book after. As someone who is working through my own spiritual journey, I appreciated the exercises that made it more of a workbook than just a read the book and consider the work done. I will be coming back to this book as I continue both my fight to end white supremacy and my spiritual journey to help connect the two.

I’m surprised that I’ve seen no mention of this book in my Twitter feed. I wonder if a tiny bit has to do with the soft pastel cover or the word spiritual in the title.
