*puts crazy pants on head as a hat*

In all due seriousness, the crazy is utterly justified by the set-up over the course of the entire series, and pretty darn well executed. Character growth, some fairly solid progressions in education within the provided framework, and a very enjoyable read.

And, coming back to it a fifth time, yep, this series really makes me happy every single time.

I was on the edge of my seat for the whole last three hours of this!

Each book in this series is better than the one before.

Upon second read some of the flaws I the writing style become more apparent but it still holds up pretty damn well on the second time around. This series is solid - the characters develop so well over the course of the books + good vivid story telling.

There is absolutely no reason why this book is over 1100 pages long.

I really liked this book. It was another fun installment of the Super Powereds Series.

Here are some of the things that I liked:
We finally got a battle scene with things on the line. The last battle scene was great! I do wish there was more action, especially with my scenes from the professors. I wanted to see what Sean Pendleton could do!

I’m glad Nick is back. He was easily the best part of year 2 and for his personality to be back really helps make all characters enjoyable.

I liked the growth of Alice. She has definitely had the most growth over the three books, both in personality and in strength. It was funny how highly she thought of herself during the first year to being torn down by Nick and her whole experience. Now she is arguably one of the strongest among them and she is more grounded. The growth makes her more likeable.

I liked all the mysteries that this book introduced. It does seem like a lot for the fourth book to unravel. It’s a good thing it is so long.

Here are some of the things that I didn’t like:

I noticed in this book the author LOVES the word “Training.” There is a constant use of it in every context and I really noticed it in this book

Maybe it’s because I like more darker stories, and this one is a little more tame, but I was hoping that the author would kill off a few more characters during the final battle. I am happy that the author went there by killing off Sasha, however, I was hoping for more.

I also thought it was super corny when all the students were aghast at having to “kill” the sims on their midterms. I liked the scenario and thought it was a cool sequence. I just thought it was so funny that so many students were put off by “killing” the robots. Has no one ever played a first person shooter? I figured people would be fine considering they were not real people.

SpoilerFun read and good to get some more details on the overall plot. But I have to say, I didn't care about the feud with Nathaniel at all. It led to the major battle at the end, but I think it would have been better if Nathaniel was not there and it was just SOP attacking the HCP.

This series continues to wow me. Firstly, the books are incredibly long so they have ample time to develop the characters and the plot, as well as throw amazing hooks and twists throughout that meant I could hardly put it down!
