Honestly just lost interest

This book was phenomenal. It was suspenseful, action just entertaining from the start. Ara & Rogue’s stories are sad, exciting and heartbreaking. The Last Storm is one of my top favorite books of all time. The banter, spice and romance just made it that much better. Definitely recommend reading it.

Holy crap this was so good!! Not gonna lie, I was not expecting much from this book. But as soon as I picked it up last night I was not able to put it down. I definitely think it could use a little bit more detail for certain aspects of it just to give the story more depth. But I really love the pace, the world building, the characters are great. I’m really interested to see where the story is going to go!

The story was quite interesting and it had a few interesting twists. It's not a 5-star read for me simply because I realized I'm not a fan of instalove, especially those based primarily on lust. I felt the main couple needed more time to develop their relationship to make it more believable. Still, I liked it and want to proceed with the series.

good spicy scenes between the mc's but no further relationship development. it didn't have emotional impact between ara and rogue. there were inklings of interesting character moments for each of them which made the book an easy read to get through. I'm not invested in the worldbuilding and plot so much as the romance but there's nothing special happening with that either so all in a meh kind of book.

this is a great book for someone looking to get into fantasy - rogue x ara has a great plot & storyline (which I personally love in a book) - that being said, this book DOES end on a cliffhanger

This story had such promise. I devoured the first half of it, but then I started to get annoyed with the lack of editing and the slow pacing. There were sentences where a word was just…missing. At one point, there was a zero instead of an o. I’m not sure anyone actually read this before it was published.

Also, this is the second book I’ve read in a row where the author overused the phrase “quite literally.” Can we please retire this?

One more mini rant, this book was about fated mates, but their mate bond added nothing. It felt like a lazy way to bring the characters together.

Alright I’m not done because I also want to address the fact that the final battle at the end of the book ended right at the tipping point. Then we skip ahead three days, and I guess just assume everything worked out on the battlefield? That was a disappointment.

Like I said, it had promise, needed editing.

Honestly really cool I think if it was a little longer I could believe the love a little More. Also I need more in depth world building, I’m craving more of the world I guess, but it was still entertaining and I will finish the series!!
