I was very confused by this book. I don’t know what I expected, but this was not it. I didn’t feel like there was a lot of character development. Yayoi definitely learned a lot about herself, but I didn’t feel like she grew at all as a person. It was a wild chase through their history and I really liked the quirky characters. I just didn’t feel like this book really moved me. It confused me, yes; it even weirded me out in places. I was sad and I felt Yayoi‘s pain at times, I liked her character analyses, but I didn’t feel like she really captured my interest.
