DNF..
Not much of action, eventually, it was boring.

She really missed the mark on this one. It was so slow and dull I couldn't make myself finish it. It felt like a huge waste of time. Thankfully I only checked it out from my library and didn't purchase it. I would have been pissed to waste my money.

I think this is my favourite strike. Yearly comfort read/listen. Really annoyed that I got invested in this series before it all fell apart.

What I learned from this book: I don't like mysteries. I shouldn't read a book just because an author I admire wrote it. Don't always take other people's reviews as gospel.

That sounds harsh - the book wasn't bad, just not my style of novel. I found myself skimming a lot of details and yet it still took me nearly. Month to finish. Go figure. Live and learn.

As for the story itself, I predicted who the killer was but I must have missed the explanation on why Bristow commissioned Strike's services. Like I said, I skimmed at times so I may have skimmed right over that.

Loved it!

Great story. Took a bit to fully pull me in, but once engaged I didn't want to put it down. I am looking forward to reading the other books in the series.
