Enjoyed the Norwegian folklore but would have preferred them/or Marren’s character to have a larger focus in the story. They felt like an afterthought to try and pad the book/add a different genre.
Ending a bit rubbish. I have also read “The Boy Who Could See Demons” by same author which also had a rushed rubbish ending so I’m beginning to feel the author can’t end books very well

This was a pretty interesting book, but I feel like a good portion of the plot was unnecessary. The ending felt kinda flat to me, as if it was rushed to an ending. The ending still made sense for the most part, but this book was not as good as I thought it would be. Still a fun read though.

This book is perfect for fall. Curl up with some tea and a cozy blanket and dive into this dark, gothic and chilling novel that has some Norwegian folklore woven into it. It's a 5 star read!

The Nesting was spooky and atmospheric! I liked it but found myself wishing that I could have enjoyed it a little more. The pacing for me was all over the place, sometimes I couldn't put it down and others I couldn't bring myself to pick it up. I usually finish a book this size in a few days, this one took me several weeks. I did really love the characters and I felt like the author did a great job at making you wonder throughout whether the outcome would be supernatural or human. My only other complaint was that the ending was a bit abrupt, but otherwise I would recommend!
