A little saccharine but not in a bad way. It definitely takes place in Sweden and not the US. Funny and sweet.

It was entertaining but towards the final strech,it became tedious especially because of all the twists and turns even though they were foreshadowed from the start. Also Backman humour really works for me but when it doesn't , it becomes excruciating to read. My favourite part of the book was easily the conversation between Zara and the psychologist, there was something endearing about there exchange.Overall pretty good read although it could have been better if it hasn't taken the unrealistic turn at the final strech. But still a pretty delightful conclusion.

4.25 stars!!! I adored this book so so so much! I loved all of the characters and the twists and turns. A super easy page turned that packs so much emotion for anyone who has ever lived.

DNF at page 86. Really tried to like this, but would pick it up and put it down after a few pages every time.
