So I enjoyed this book, but I was super annoyed with Chris by the end of it. I'm really hoping that in the next book they can work together and not be so separated.
The relationship has as strong of highs as it has of lows. I was completely shocked with the outcome at the end of the book. I can't wait to learn more about this series.

This story picks up right where Book 1 left off. Sara and Chris are still figuring eachother out. Sara has quit her teaching job and is now all in in the art world. They are still chasing answers of Rebecca, the owner of the steamy journals. They are still looking for what happened to Ella. One of these questions DOES get answered by the end of this book.
I’m listening to this audio book and there are some spicy scenes!!! So fair warning. Don’t listen with an audience. Since I had some sense of closure and I simply can’t get enough of Sara and Chris, I gave this 5 steamy stars. I’ve already downloaded book 3 and I’m hoping for a swoon-worthy ending to this series.

Okay so to start with... the beginning of the story is right where the first one left off... have to say though, I was expecting more. I wanted more I was on pins and needles and just felt like it kind of fuddled. I let that go though and moved on.
When I got through about half of the book I had to talk to my girlfriend and tell me her my thoughts. She just laughed at me and told me to finish reading the book. I had so many different ideas on who, what, where, and what is going to happen.
I did have one big issue. I get that she was so taken into this new life, working at the art gallery and dating Chris BUT my issue and I had it a little when I was reading the first book. WHERE IS HER BEST FRIEND??? I get that most people can get pulled into their own lives; their careers, dating and all that stuff but if you have a friend who goes out of the country and you just don't hear from them for a long time I would think a friend would worry and not stop. I don't remember how much time has gone by but it seemed like for me her best friend would come up every now and then as an afterthought. I would think that she would worry about her friend a little more if they were as close as she said they were. I mean she hasn't heard from her in so long.
Mark, who is Sara's boss is the one that I have to say kept my interest most in the first book I wanted more of him and this one we get a little more of him. :) I do like him, asshole and all. What drives me nuts is all the back and forth between him and EVERYONE around her it seems like. She never seems to get answers as to why that is and that drove me up the wall. I wanted to know WHY!
There are still some pop up's of Rebecca and her journal. I wanted more parts of the journal to be honest. I know that on Goodreads the reading order is to read the lost journals before you start the second book but my girlfriend told me not to, that it gives things away. So I read it how she suggested. I will wait and read them all after I finish the last book. I did feel like this one was a little more about Sara and Chirs and their relationship. Which was fine but I still wanted to know more about Rebecca. I did get to points where I would forget all about Rebecca but then it would pop up and she would make a comment or talk about her again.
Things happen in this one that we finally get some answers though. I was surprised a little but at the same time kinda not. And once again she leaves it with a bit of a cliffhanger. Leaving you wondering what is going to happen, and what exactly is the secrets are that are being kept.

it was a good read. it got a little slow for a second then picked up. I don't like how fast it went with Ava being the killer of rebecca maybe it will have more detail in the next book and what the hell is up with ella, sara's best friend she like dropped off the face of the earth.

Is this the end of Rebecca's story? I was so flustered trying to figure out what happened to this woman that I googled spoil alerts for the inside out series. FYI I found nothing. And for this to be the end is heart breaking, I hope in the next book there is more to her story. Over all it was a good story and I look forward to more...well on to the next :)

Being Me continues on where If I Were You finished - Sara is in Rebecca's storage unit looking for more journals, when the power goes out - you could practically feel Sara's heart racing from the fear as she ran out of there.
A lot of questions from If I Were You are answered in Being Me. We find out who Rebecca's Master is, learn more about the relationship between Chris and Mark, all while Chris and Sara's relationship moves forward.
Sara is still on the hunt to find Rebecca, and still feels that she is living Rebecca's life - the parallels between the two are scary at times. She is also trying to track down Ella, who went on her honeymoon and has not been heard from in weeks.
I love how Chris gets involved with the Rebecca and Ella searches - even though he is more doing it to keep Sara out of it than to help Sara.
Chris is pushing Sara for more in their relationship - all while shutting down and keeping her out when bad things happen. Yes, Sara wants to keep her independence from Chris, but his shutting her out is not what she wants.
We learn that Mark wants Sara and would do what it takes to have her. But I loved the softer side we learn of Mark when Sara and Chris' relationship hits a bump. I loved the way he looked out for her - well, except for the "incident" with Ryan.
The support characters all had their part to play - Ava, Ricco, Ryan. Some good, some not so good, but all integral to the story.
The question of "what happened to Rebecca" is finally answered - wow, that was not what I expected! Mark opens up t Sara about his relationship with Rebecca, the softer side of him shining through.
There is drama, there is tragedy, there is love.
I completely adored this book - though the first few chapters did drag on a little bit.
If you like a steamy read with a bit of mystery, I suggest this series. But read them in order with Rebecca's Lost Journals in between

It took 2 weeks for me to read this. It was so difficult to finish. The author's skipping back and forth between present and past tense and her inability to show instead of tell made each page a struggle. The mystery plot was the only redeeming quality but even that won't get me to pick up book 3. I have officially given up on this series.

Again, I read this for book club and I'm not continuing the series. This had a lot of blurred lines of consent and I don't like that! Chris literally was defending her when she told him she was raped and then multiple times later in the book he's pushing himself on her when she's saying no!! It's not sexy, it's just sexual assault. The writing is still bad, the climax of the book is rushed and comes out of nowhere. They're a horribly toxic couple and I'm not rooting for them. It's only getting a star because it made me laugh out loud when she said "a sexy Matchbox Twenty tune."
