Wow, now that was an interesting take on the Hades/Persephone story! I enjoyed every bit of it, and for once, I didn't mind this being a PWP story. It's a novella after all, and short formats can't be but snapshots. I'm not even sure I'd like to read a full-length novel because this? This is the perfect, delicious, smooth, sweet ice cream serving you take to bed with you, licking the spoon after each scoop, knowing you shouldn't but ah what the heck.

The dialogues are fun to read, and I don't mind the modern language at all. I mean, hey, they're gods and gods are immortal, right? So how do we know in which time this story is set? Persephone has lived most of her life amongst humans, and Hades has new souls coming in each day, so why shouldn't they adapt their speech pattern to modern times? I liked it because it fits the situation they find themselves in.

Oh, and Cerberus? Brilliant! Throw a stick? I will never be able to look at paintings of Cerberus again without thinking of Bob, Middle and Right!

The sex scenes? Ladies. Seriously. Do not read this in public. Put a towel on your seat and have a spare set of underwear ready, you will need both. Also, make sure you vibrator's batteries are fresh. Trust me.

I hadn't thought Greek gods would make good protags in an erotic romance, in fact, I hardly ever think about them at all - lack of interest in Greek mythology. Was I ever wrong. I really need to pay closer attention to that particular niche. And that version of Hades? Anytime. Like, ANYTIME.

This was EXCELLENT. It took me a little bit to get into it, but it quickly found its stride. How do we get Alisha Rai to turn it into a series?!?!

Hades and Persephone retelling that explores power, who has and wields them and who doesn't. It begins with Hades having all the power and Persephone having the potential for greatness but is unaware of it. Throughout the story, power moves between them until eventually she comes into her own and realizes her worth and the full extent of her power. That's when their powers reach equilibrium. I think this is a well-written short story (maybe novella?) that's also the first Alisha Rai book I've read.

A little rough going in the opening chapter and the plot felt a little choppy, probably due mostly to the novella-size length. But this was fun (full of hot god sex, and they can do rather...different...things; also Hades's tattoo...have mercy) and full of good banter. I really liked the update to Hades and Persephone's story, which is generally terrible and icky, and the inclusion of Cerberus with his "Bob" head was hilarious.

I really liked this take on the Hades/Persephone story. They're both good characters and I liked how they fell for each other. It was a short story so not too much happened but it was fun, I'd have liked to see more of bob!

Also, it's probably erotica as much as romance, definitely NSFW.
