I'm apparently just not at all into shifter fiction. I didn't get this, and couldn't get into it.

While Jin is Jory 2.0, he is stronger than Jory. I enjoyed his and Logan's coming together and was glad Jin stood up to him. Definitely want to carry on with the series.

ETA: I read book two and it was exhausting. Read reviews for rest of series and the series is definitely going to be DNF.

It's entertaining and hot If you're into all that macho-mine-possessive attitude. The biggest turn off for me was the zero prep before sex, cause saliva ain't no lube.

I ended up enjoying this one in the end but at the beginning it was confusing and not explained well. There was in my opinion an excessive amount language and terms created for that world which made it hard to follow because those terms were not defined early enough. Also the world of shifters created in this book was not outlined so it felt like i was reading the second or third book in a series and that everythng had been explained in the past.

That said I really did enjoy the characters and may pich up the next book so I can see their relationship grow.

I have to admit... This one sat on my TBR for a long time. It was a case of the cover turning me off and I have to be in the right mood for shifters. And once again, I am kicking myself for waiting so damn long for to read it! That is my MO! I loved it! Jin is the rarest of the rare, a not just a reah, but the only male reah ever known. Logan was the ultimate alpha male (yummmm!) The story was intriguing, the world-building was fantastic, and the mythos of the shifters was fascinating. And then there was the heat. Holy hell! Takk about combustion! Can't wait to read more!

From the very first sentence, I had a pretty bad feeling about this book, and it only kept getting worse. It's incredibly sexist, riddled with disturbing statements and has some of the worst characterizations I've ever encountered in any written medium.
Nothing that happens, nothing that any character does or says make sense. It just doesn't add up. One moment something happens or something is said, just to be contradicted by the actions/words in the next moment. I had no idea what as going or, what the characters' motivations were or why things were happening.

I really wanted to like this book. I enjoyed the plot, the beginning was interesting - even if some words were difficult to associate with the meaning given to it.
What I didn't like was how the characters were: first Jin, who tends to belittle anything that happens to him; Logan was a big no, for me, as he didn't let Jin speak more than once, never tried to understand his reasoning or accept his choices, sometimes he even mocks some things that were actually pretty serious.
All the other characters were plain selfish: when Jin needed time to think and consider what to do with Logan after something serious happened (I'm trying not to write spoilers), everyone kept saying that he had to go back and that not only Logan was suffering but all of them were too - which I get, but it would have been nice if they listened and gave advice instead of just try to guilt trip him.
I was really interested in the story, but sadly I don't think I'll continue as the characters aren't really of my liking.

One of the worst books I've ever read. I listened to the audiobook, and it's possible that it might be slightly less terrible if you read it, rather than listen to it, but it can't be better enough to make it worth spending any part of your life reading this.
