One of the worst books I've ever read. I listened to the audiobook, and it's possible that it might be slightly less terrible if you read it, rather than listen to it, but it can't be better enough to make it worth spending any part of your life reading this.

Read this book if you want to be thoroughly confused on how mlm sex works & completely misunderstand gay relationships. This is probably one of the worst books I have ever read. It’s like it wasn’t even reviewed for correct vocabulary or grammar?

He “fisted” his c*ck? She says “prostrate” instead of “prostate?”

I just.. I was looking forward to some fun “romance”, in a genre of “romance” that I haven’t read before— and it is so bad that I just hate-read the entire thing.

Love audio books and that m/m stories are starting to trickle out in audio is great!
First the story - I LOVE Mary Calmes and I really really enjoyed the story. It was funny and sad and made knitting and chares a breeze! (that is important!)
Now the narrator - hmm. narrators can really make or break a story and this one was .. okay. The main charcter Jin was a good voice. the best friend sounded like a Muppet! I really had to start the auido twice to get over the throaty warbling and get into the story (which I had read and liked a lot) So far the narrators for m/m have been just okay.
I reccomend this story! I would also recomend the audio if the voices aren't a sticking point for you. You can hear a sample at Dreamspinner.com and at audible.com. Got my 2 audible credits today so I am going to try another Dreamspinner book! Hope I pick a winner!

This is what I get for reading the summary 3 weeks before actually getting to the book, and then NOT rereading the summary.
I remembered it was two dudes, but I didn't remember their names exactly, so when I was presented with two best friends I was pleasantly surprised - there were very good interactions between the two and I was very "wow so it's friends-to-lovers?"
But it wasn't. I should've maybe noticed the hints, there were a lot of them about this Mystery #3 Guy, ranging from his age to his "status", and it was enveloped in enough DRAMA to maybe be eyecatching, but I was too focused on the possibility of the two friends becoming together.
So when Logan eventually showed up I was just hoping for him to leave. But I kept reading and he didn't. And Jin kept letting him be, and where was Crane? Jin should've called Crane. And then everything was so ridiculously RUSHED. "Holy shit, all my life I have refused this but -now- I have seen your FACE and I know that I must accept this attraction that I feel", like oh my God.
Oh My God. So rushed. 0 Chemistry.
But the disappointment is also 60% on me for not rereading the summary before going at it.

Edit: Read 212/260

If you disregard the fact that Jin is supposed to be a guy he sounds and acts no different than the typical stereotype heroine of a paranormal romance novel - hot-headed, wary, sassy/bitchy. That is not to say that his thoughts aren't entertaining at the beginning of the book and his... dealings did get some chuckles, but otherwise the other characters are washed-out, the rest of action was boring and all the drama came mainly from his past - nasty business that.

My main gripe is that the plot was carried out by "the Law", a set of rules by which all weres - panthers, in this case - must abide. Which is to say that all plot twists and turns were resolved by the author's equivalent of "because I say so" and putting a pretty name on it like the "Law of Bast", for example. That's kind of like... cheating.

This book was torture for me. I wanted it to end so much!!

My problem was the writing because the story was decent enough. So many unnecessary dialogues and so little descriptions. But the most frustrating thing was this: (took these literally from the book, didn't changed anything
