I was confused for the majority of the book 😓
It was a little bit convoluted, but I did like the concepts and explorations of home, immigration, racism, etc.
There are parts of this book that I loved so much. The idea of parasites taking over the body and the use of examples in nature were fantastic. Other parts were incredibly creepy and the historical background of the French occupation of Vietnam was very interesting. However, there seemed too much happening and the plot was not focused.
