Looking for another book about British teens feeling out of place because they are not rich and/or they are queer at their fancy British school? Radio silence fits the bill.

I enjoyed this one, despite the slow pace and overall lack of much 'going on'. I really loved how Alice Osemans centers friendship in this story. As a fan girl myself, I liked that she discovered the host of her fave podcast was actually her neighbor, and the exploration around anonymity that sparked!! There is an interesting group of characters from many different cultural backgrounds which mirror real life (and I love that!)

Fair warning: this book is prettY heavy and explores some serious themes including parental abuse, mental health, coming out and existential crisis.

Tldr: not my fave Oseman book, but I would read their grocery list and I enjoyed this book!

This book hits right where it hurts for teenagers in this day and age. As a teenager who is and knows those who are struggling with finding where they belong, this book just knows what we're all feeling. The addition of LGBT+ characters in the book helps too. As someone who's closeted, discovering how many people were a part of the community in this book brought so much joy to my reading experience. It's such a small thing, but it makes it feel much more realistic.
Please, give it a try. It can't hurt to read it.

This was a gorgeous book. A coming of age book about being unsure about pretty much everything. Also about bad and good parents. Soooo sad and melancholy and bittersweet. Good representation and interesting characters.

Me hubiera encantado leer esto cuando recién inicie la universidad, la manera en que Alice plasma todos esos sentimientos te hace identificarte en ciertas situaciones.
