I didn't really like this book though the story of the guy with the small intestine always comes to mind when I see the cover.
No one can ever convince me that this author doesn't just write the most outrageous stuff he can imagine on paper just to see if he can sell books and get people to read it. This was an interesting story about people who self-sabotage. It thought it was a very fitting story about the dangers of self-sabotaging behavior. Overall, it's not my favorite of his books, but it was alright.

I was excited to read a short horror story collection by Palahniuk (Fight Club) but this fucking blows
just gross out stories- he tells a story in the conclusion about reading the first short story, called Guts, out to a crowd at Powell’s in Portland, and how two people fainted. Cool. Whatever.

A parte tutte queste considerazioni accessorie, Palahniuk è uno scrittore eccezionale.

This book changed my life. An absolute masterpiece. Don't be put off by the first story. The rest aren't as gruesome. I don't even know what to say. Any of my descriptions will be much to trite. Just read it.
Probably the best Palahniuk I've read so far, except for Fight Club.
