Cute, quick read. 4.5 stars

A delightful, light pleasant read to close out a tough year and start a new one!

4 Stars. This Time Next Year by Sophie Cousens is a Brit-ChickLit book with an adorable story. Minnie Cooper (I know, groan) was supposed to be Quinn Cooper, the first baby born on Jan 1, 1990. But due to events, her name (and birthright) was given to a baby born minutes ahead of her. Jinxed, unlucky, cursed, call it whatever, Minnie grows up dreading her birthday, feeling like her life would have been so different had she been Quinn Cooper. When she meets stole-her-name-Quinn on their birthdays, she begins to learn maybe Minnie Cooper isn't so bad after all. This was a cute, quick read, full of quirky characters and serendipity.

This was an uplifting book to read. It is a romance but it felt more like a personal journey for the main character which I found more enjoyable than solely focusing on romance. It is also kind of fun because the author is specific about the dates in the book and they occur all through 2020, so it feels like an alternate and covid-free reality which was a nice escape.

It is always a good book when you want to bring it on vacation but you finish it before the plane takes off to go. I am not wild about shifting back and forth on the time line but give the author credit on tying up all the loose ends

I love cute and corny

Could not put this down! Sweet story or missed connections, loving yourselves, and opening up to the right people.

a fun lil rom-com! i love the running through the city to get your man on new years eve! i love choosing your own luck!

Solid 3.5 - there were a few too many characters for me to feel strongly about all of them but overall a lovely read on a cold winter day.
