Super cute! Sometimes the back and forth confused me. Wished there was an epilogue to future NYE! Overall fun, quick, feel good read.

It started out good but I really struggled through most of it. I typically have no problem hitting the DNF button so I have NO idea why I continued reading it. It was not worth it! Glad it was a library book and not one I spent money on.

Such a cozy read, especially if you happen to get the flu in April lol. Loved learning more of the backstory of each of the main characters and always am a fan of an enemies to lovers trope!

To close out my 2023 year in books I went for a romance that is centered around New Year's. The MC runs a food delivery service and her and her coworkers are a trip to read. I got a real laugh out of some of their banter. Unfortunately the male romantic interest annoyed the hell out of me, He did grow and change over the course of the book, but at the very end of the book our MC catches a cab w/a stranger and I was halfway hoping that he would end up being the one, SURPRISE! Oh well.
And thus concludes my 2023 year in books! It was a pretty good one!

This was a great one to end 2024 with! I absolutely loved the premise of the story, how it was told, the dynamic between Quinn & Minnie, and the ending! I also appreciate that the author didn't make the characters' 2020 the same as the world's. I imagine reading it at the end of that year would've made it even more special.

"Where do you see yourself this time next year?" 🎆

Trigger Warnings: miscarriage, anxiety, panic attacks

This Time Next Year is a fun contemporary romance about mental health, family, and chasing your dreams. It took me a little while to get into the story but once I did I enjoyed it. I really loved the New Year’s Eve setting and seeing the different experiences of Quinn and Minnie growing up. However, the constant changing between flashbacks and the present was at times taking me out of the story.

This Time Next Year follows Quinn and Minnie on various New Year’s Eves throughout their lives until they eventually meet. I really liked how the friendship between Quinn and Minnie slowly developed into something more. Minnie’s work colleagues added so much heart and humor to the story. I liked seeing the different dynamics between the two families.

Overall, I enjoyed reading This Time Next Year and recommend picking up a copy if you like contemporary romance.
