The highlights for me were the setting, the neighbours/friends interactions, and Blake quotes. I lost interest in the astrology and horoscope parts but the ramblings are a part of the main character and just elevate her, even if I didn't care. I don't think this is a book I would read again but I would recommend it to  others for the sheer experience of it. The introspection parts weren't my favorite but it is probably someone else' cup of tea.

I’m bummed I couldn’t get into this book since it seems so many people loved it! The main character was quirky and interesting and the mystery starts right in the beginning of the book - but all the filler with astrology had me losing interest

I knew this would be dark but never expected it to be so funny

I’m not sure what the fuss is over this book. I found the writing inconsistent, though I read the translated version. I think there was a lot of potential for the plot but I wasn’t thrilled by the writing. It felt a little bland. I tried to pick it up again since but it does not resonate with me. I think the amount of descriptive writing is trying to get you in the mind of the main character yet the style of writing does not feel opinionated enough to fit the character.

now i know who i want to be when i grow up
