I just cannot get into the story. It drags at points and loses my attention and doesn’t seem to have a point. Might just be my mood and may pick it up again later. The concepts are interesting and I love old folklore, just wasn’t feeling it.

I must be quite fond of Rumplestiltskin retellings because I keep rating them highly over the years!

There was a small portion where I zoned out a little (simply got a little more involved in my work tasks while listening) but I don't think that was the fault of the book.

It is a wholly unique spin on the original tale that I've never heard of before, and it is marvelous!

Gild is obviously Rumplestilkin, we know that from the start. But at the end when it is revealed he is the prince from her story and Rumplestiltskin is the royal family erased from history? And that she is not telling lies or stories but recounting lost history? Super cool idea.
