I loved this story, and in places, it did leave me breathless.

In this book you meet Ryan and Hannah, he was Jake from the Protector partner till they both quit, Jake to help with the new baby and Ryan went home to Hampton for a quiet life.

After virtually running Hannah over there is an immediate connection between them, but neither of them wants a relationship, Ryan wants to spend some time with his Daughter Alex while she is home from boarding school, and Hannah just wants to be on her own as she doesn't know how long she can stay there.

This book has everything, Comedy, love, suspense, mystery, and horror. You feel all the emotions with them. There are a few twists and turns to keep you on the edge of your seat.

Ryan's Daughter Alex (cabbage) really makes it funny. It was nice to see Jake and Cami in it too.

Once again Jodi doesn't disappoint, great book!

I was really looking forward to reading this and was so excited going in so it kills me to say that I just wasn’t feeling it. I tried so hard to connect to the story and the characters but they seemed so disjointed and I was not feeling their attraction at all. The writing felt way to fast-paced and slightly stilted with a lot of telling not showing happening. I am missing the depth and detail that really pulls me into the story. I did like the storyline introduced and was curious about Hannah and her secrets so I tried to keep reading, but unfortunately, I wasn’t enjoying it and started skimming. I’m sorry to say this one wasn’t for me.

Leave Me Breathless did just that, it left me breathless! Ryan and Hannah’s story is not what I was expecting as the story was something not a normal read for me. That being said, I adore this book. The relationship between Hannah and Ryan (and Alex, Ryan’s 10-year-old daughter who steals the show!) is brilliant, the twists and turns caught me by surprise, AND THAT ENDING!! I was hanging on for dear life at the end of this book! I love the secondary characters as they all brought so much to the story. I was so engaged with the characters and their story, I could not put this book down!

THIS BOOK. I have NO words for how much I loved this story, Ryan, Hannah and Alex. I completely devoured this story. I was hooked from the very first word to the very last word. Its breathtakingly beautiful.

Ryan and Hannah had an instant connection from the moment he ran into her (literally) and that connection only seemed to grow stronger and more explosive as the story continued. I loved Hannah’s quirkiness. She was sweet, fun, carefree, but also guarded and heartbroken. Ryan is protective, 100% alpha and has a romantic side.

For those who have read The Protector this is a great follow up to that book. You get some more Jake and Cami, which I LOVED those scenes. Jake and Ryan’s friendship was great and the joking between them added a few laughs to the story.

This story was emotional, it was sweet and it was suspenseful. Leave Me Breathless is one of my top JEM books and Ryan definitely moved his way up the JEM Alpha ranks in my eyes. A MUST READ and a TOP READ for 2019.

Leave me breathless, this book definitely did, nothing makes me happier than finding a new author that I can binge read from. Jodi is definitely an author I am going back to her back catalogue to devour now. I was hooked from the first page and I just adored this book, the story, the characters, everything is just perfect.

I was given an arc of this book in exchange of an honest review, all thoughts and opinions are my own.

I devoured this book in a day! Seriously I just couldn’t put it down. It got to a point where my kindle had to be taken from me so that I’d go make myself some dinner... Oops?

Whilst technically this book is a follow up to the protector and we do get to see Jake and cami in snippets, getting a little update about how their lives have changed since the ending of their book, leave me breathless is Ryan and Hannah’s story and theirs alone. And it’s a bloody epic one. It’s so different from jodi’s other books, I’m not complaining though, I quite liked how uncomplicated Ryan is. How what you see is pretty much what you get. I love that he’s so open and brutally honest.

I also love Hannah’s strength. She’s terrified and she has good reason to be, her secrets could get her and anyone who knows them killed. She’s constantly having to live a lie, and it’s honestly a pretty lonely way to live, she can’t get attached to a place or a person because she knows she will eventually have to run again. But some how she’s managed to survive that way for five years and is determined to keep surviving.

Naturally things get really complicated when she’s quite literally knocked off her feet by Ryan, the life she’s managed to scrape out for herself starts to unravel, but she can also imagine building a new life with Ryan and she so desperately wants it.

When her past and present collide Hannah will fight like hell to keep her secrets buried and protect the people she’s grown to love safe.

The plot of this story is one that’s probably been done a million times before but the way jodi writes it and spins the story... it’s just incredible. I definitely recommend it!
