I enjoyed this. I would definitely love to see it live on stage. It has a very different vibe than the other Harry Potter books, and I felt there were some inconsistencies from the original series.
What I find most unbelievable, however, is the fact that Moldy Voldy actually reproduced... I just don't see him being able to, or wanting to, for that matter...

I didn’t hate it but I think I was expecting more from this book. I’m glad I got to imagine what their children would be like but for me I wanted more details and some other questions answered. I liked it though.
I'm devastated. I just...I'm crying. It's fanfiction. Bad, not well-thought-out, rushed, shallow fanfiction. I've waited 10 years for...this? I'm too upset. I can't.
DO NOT READ IF YOU LOVE HARRY POTTER. I never like to bash on books for people work hard on them. But am so disappointed with this play. There were many plot holes and when reading the story it felt like it wasn't the characters we know and love.

There's something to be said about a well-written book, or a well-written play. Sometimes, they translate well.
Other times, not so much.
I loved the short foray into the world of Harry Potter, but it was one that left me cold. So much was obvious from the start that I wondered halfway through why I should continue. There's a certain theme that runs throughout that I enjoyed, and I loved the interactions between the original HP characters...but, honestly, the new characters were difficult to relate to. There's no history, no shared experience with reader and character...everything is left to nostalgia to fill in the spaces.
While fun to get a sense of my childhood back, I'm more disappointed that they didn't leave well enough alone. Would I see the stage production of this? Absolutely, because the special effects would be a wonder to see. Would I recommend someone read the book? Not so much.

Truly one of the most horrendous books I’ve ever read. I can recommend this one if you are willing to experience the verbal equivalent of stepping on Lego. All day. Every day.
Niet hetzelfde niveau als de oorspronkelijke Potter-boeken, maar wat een fantastische nostalgie :-)
