The perfect ending to an incredible series! I LOVE that C.J. Roberts gave us this extra slice of Caleb and Livvie. This is an epilogue in every sense of the word. I feel like all the loose ends have been tied up, all my questions have been answered, and I now completely understand both Caleb and Livvie.

Caleb tried to stay away from Livvie, but he realized his life was empty without her. He is now trying his hardest to become a different person, a better man who deserves her. She becomes his whole world and it scares him. I loved seeing Caleb so vulnerable. Love literally changed everything about him. It made him a lovesick puppy who would do anything for the woman he loves.

Livvie isn't the same broken girl Caleb left. She is stronger and more sure of herself. She is also extremely afraid Caleb will leave her again so she has trouble completely opening up to him. She is also trying to come to terms with how she can be in love with Caleb and how she can still enjoy some of the things he did to her.

Their feelings and insecurities are completely reconciled by the end and I felt extremely satisfied.

It was so refreshing seeing them living a "normal" life. Especially Caleb who has literally never known anything else. Livvie introduces him to her friends and they become people he genuinely cares for. Through Livvie Caleb is also introduced to Playstation and celebrates his first real Thanksgiving, Christmas, and birthday. I laughed, I (almost) cried, and I fell in love with Caleb even more than I already was. I truly feel like they got their happily ever after. As happy of an ever after as two f'ed up people could get anyway.

My favorite quote from the book, though I had many, bc it sums up exactly why Caleb and Livvie are perfect for each other.: "Yeah, but I’m the second most fucked up person I know, and when you put two negatives together, you get a positive. That’s math, Caleb. Math is the language of the universe. You can’t argue with the universe."

5+ Stars!!

Holy ShitBalls. I'm in love. With this Caleb. With Livvie. With this story. With everything this book represents.

Told from Caleb's side from, pretty much, Livvie walking away from him in the end of the last book.

(SPOILERS)

they finally found each other again. they meet under the bridge and kissed. well that's all you get from Livvie POV. Caleb tells his side of the story-and only his side. of what happens between that kiss and him reading Livvie's novel at the end.

It's very interesting to see his side. and so much of it. usually we only get glimpses. what i also found very interesting was the fact that both of them wrote the novel together. it was mainly Livvie, but now we see where Caleb's POV came from and makes this story so much more real.

This book was incredible. I started this afternoon and finished just now (9ish).

C.J. Robert's does an amazing job with this book. And for the fist time i didn't mind all the sex. I can't help but compare to fifty shades of grey - which too was a great book, not as... well scary? creepy? i don't know. anyway i did see some parallel line within the stories some spanking and the cross they both had.

Either way I loved this strange heartbreak story that'll break you down and built you right back up. I wasn't sure if i wanted them together between the first and second book - Should she really forgive her kidnapper? how could she? - but i see the deeper meaning behind both these character. I cried with Livvie and then cried for Caleb - and i hated what they had turned him into, hated the fact that he turned into a monster to survive, but feel in love with his story of changing into a man worthy of Livvie.

All in all i love this book. L.O.V.E.D. it. I recommend it to anyone who likes a interesting story filled with romance and redemption.

I accidentally read the draft version that downloaded to my Kindle on release day and gave it 5 stars. Tonight I finished reading the final version and must give it 5+ stars! I find CJ Roberts to be one of the best, most creative, most talented writers I've ever had the pleasure of reading. I have loved everything she's written, and Epilogue was certainly no exception!

I have loved Caleb from the beginning. I knew I shouldn't, but like Livvie, I couldn't help but see the flashes of humanity and brokenness in him. I loved his strength and devoured the times when he would give in to what he considered his weakness of loving Livvie.

Having Epilogue entirely from Caleb's point of view was such a treat for me and so fitting for Caleb and Livvie's story. I loved how Epilogue revealed the process for writing Captive in the Dark and Seduced in the Dark and how we got to learn how we could understand and love Caleb in the first two books. Then Epilogue was totally Caleb, which I felt like he deserved. He needed to be able to work through everything himself - and it was just a blessing to be able to work through it with him.

I will also say that I'm so glad this was Caleb writing about a time we did not get to experience in the first two books. I'm not a huge fan of rewrites of a book from a different perspective. I feel like this is another way in which CJ is such an amazing author - she was able to write the complete story in the first two books and then use Caleb's story to wrap things up (for now???)!

I am so thankful for Epilogue because while I thought the ending to Seduced in the Dark was wonderful, there were so many questions I still had. How could Caleb and Livvie work through their past and start to live a more normal life together? What conversations did they have to have? How much did their past shape their present? What did they tell other people? How hard was it for them to learn to trust after their past of people proving to be untrustworthy? I had developed some of these answers myself, but Epilogue gave me better, more complete answers to those questions and so much more. For that I am grateful.

Epilogue was so Caleb. It had such a different feel from the first two books, obviously because the situation had changed, but also because it was all Caleb. He was so witty and generally delicious, but he was also scared and conflicted. It was so beautiful to learn more about him from his own mouth. His story is so deeply touching, I couldn't stop highlighting things he said - painful things, happy things, silly things, sexy things! I simply love his strength and his ability to survive, even when surviving required taking the risk of loving Livvie and opening his heart, his past, his present, and his future to her.

Overall, this book was INCREDIBLY well written and a true treat for anyone who enjoyed the Dark Duet. Thank you CJ for giving us more Caleb. If we keep begging, can we get more?!?!

Although this book is not that long, it took me months to finish because I could not get into it. Caleb and Livvie's lives after Mexico are not as interesting as I hoped they would be.

I was so not ready for this ending... What can I say? Beautiful beyond words... I can't even begin to say how much I loved seeing this next step towards the new life these two are building after surviving more than any two people should. The first two books in this series were so dark and twisted yet this ending somehow made it all right and beautiful in the end. His devotion to making things right between them gripped at my heart and I was SO happy that these two could find love after all they gone through. PERFECT ending to an incredible series!!

*5 emotionally wrecked erotic over the top perfection stars*

Still can't get over the fact that I've read this whole series in just a matter of days.
For Caleb
I hate him.
I hate him to death.
I hate him so much that my hate overshadows his darkness.
But
I love him.
I loved the way he tried to adjust into Livvie's life.
I loved the way he adjusted into normal human world.
His effort to make Livvie happy.
I never thought I would be saying this about him when I first started the series.
The most significant part in this book was that Caleb's past still haunted him. Yet he tried and tried. His will to win Livvie back was super touching.
Although this duet is completely messed up and yes , he's a bit psychopatic.
He still came a long way , and he didn't let his past overshadow his future with Livvie
Roberts did an excellent job by giving us this gift in Caleb's POV.
It couldn't have been better.
I never in my life thought a dark romance would make me cry.
If you want to be emotionally touched by a book like such that it may leave a mark on your soul .
Do yourself a favour
Read it.
