So Good. Love this whole take on modern-day Gods.

I won this book in a giveaway, and I sure am glad I did!

I've always been a fan of roman/greek mythology. They are basically the same thing just different names for the Gods/Demigods.

This book was not told from the point if view of a demigod or god or a mortal that encounters the gods, it is told from one of the lower goddesses' point of view. A point of view not commonly expressed.

Not only that but it doesn't make ALL creatures of the underworld out to be awful like most of the other books of this particular fantasy do.

The female character is strong and independent. She has a few faults, of course who doesn't. Even the guy that she is partnered with has faults, though not as clearly stated as they could be, they are still there. Neither of the main characters are perfect an I like that. It's a good aspect for any book to have.

I loved this book and cannot wait until I can purchase (or win) the next book in the series! Over all scoring 4.5

I enjoyed reading this book. The characters were wonderful. The story was a great mix of mystery and mythological. I'll be honest it was slow in some places but the chapters are short so it usually made up for it. I enjoyed the action and the relationship between Archer and Tisi. The fact that Tisi was at loss for what people were talking about sometimes and the modern world made a lot instances funny ( It had been awhile since she was on the mortal plane). I loved who was used as a bad guy because in real life he was such a nasty criminal.

Towards the end I became more interested in Rumour and I hope there will be a story written about her. She's an interesting character.

It was a fun read and I am looking forward to more in this series also I think I'll be grabbing the Stacy Justice ones as well.

I was pleasantly surprised by this story! It deals with one of the minor Greek goddesses, and mixes in a true life serial killer story. The better bulk of the Greek Pantheon is at arms length at this story and it allows the reader to learn more about Tisiphone and her abilities. I also enjoyed seeing glimpses of Wild Bill Hickok and the author's own Stacy Justice. Those glimpses made me interested to see the author's other universe. The only thing I didn't really enjoy was the romance between Tisiphone and Archer, because it seemed more of an afterthought than anything else. Otherwise good writing and story!

Fury finds Fate

I really loved the world building and mythology connections. There was a definite sense of direction. I really appreciated Tisiphone and her attitude. Vengeance versus revenge.

Okay, and Cerebrus was oddly adorable with Indigo. Overall, the story had great emotional connection and relationships within the pantheon. Tisi's relationship with the other gods were enjoyable.

And the story has a ton of action. Easy to visualize Vegas here. Plus, I kind of loved Tisi's temper when she first arrives in Sin City. It's a great first scene.

The romance felt a bit shoehorned and out of place. Not bad, just mostly unnecessary. Felt like a friends with benefit over the fated mates push.

Content warnings for children murder and violence against women. Also storyline with a known murderer in the real world. Heads up for that. That and the romance knocked it down a full star.

I didn't hate it but I didn't particularly like it either. The mystery (bad guy kidnaps four women) was something that I normally would've loved or at the very least, find interesting (James Patterson fan here, pre-ghostwriters of course). But it just didn't work. Maybe it was because the writing lacked suspense, maybe it was because I figured out 25% into the story whodunit, maybe it was the fact that you knew early on how the book was going to end based on how fluffy the whole thing was already, or maybe it was because Jupiter was in alignment with Uranus and I couldn't focus on the story - who knows - it just didn't work for me.
