Trigger warnings: emotionally abusive relationship (in the past), threats of outing, mental health, COVID-19 pandemic
I was ridiculously excited about reading this because, like, THE ENDING OF THE LAST BOOK OMG. I went to the book launch because I needed to read it the second it came out. And then I put off reading it for like 4 months because I'm a chump. Anyway, I should have picked this up much sooner than I did because it was absolutely delightful. The dynamic between Amanda and Dylan is wonderful, and I loved getting to see what life was really like for the contestants in the mansion and during the various events.
This was more of a slow burn than I was expecting it to be, but it just WORKED. Also, I am now r.i.d.i.c.u.l.o.u.s.l.y. excited to read the third book in the series because OMG LILY AND MURRAY I NEED IT LIKE AIR. We get so much more of Lily's character in this one, as well as a ton of interactions between her and Murray and I just...I need it. Please and thank you.

This was cute and enjoyable. I'm a sucker for a Bachelor-style setting in a romance novel. I enjoyed how the author established their friendship before any of them developed feelings. I would have loved for it to be dual POV because I was searching for hints that Dylan felt something more for Mandie.

Cute! I grew up watching the Bachelor etc. so it was satisfying to see a sapphic take. A little rushed in places and due to being one part in a series some characters felt a little lacking. Overall nice and easy to read 🌹
Graphic: Emotional abuse, Toxic relationship

Nuanced enough, didn’t blow my socks off. some of the characterizations were too goofy for me. we never found out lily’s fucking problem…. was it just that she knew about cece and mandylan somehow? like? idk someone in my book club suggested maybe her and murray were dating or something but idk man. i just kinda feel like for how serious the setting was (set during covid, the stakes of not doing the show for womanDylan, the cartoonishly mean way Jac treated Amanda , the characters should’ve felt more three-dimensional. ofc always great to have cheesy sapphic romance content out there. maybe i just care too much about Big Brother idk
