Omfggggg I loved this even more than Phantasma!!! So addicting! I loved the romance and rounds of the hunt. I HOPE we see more of Grave in the future 😍 But I loved all the Silver siblings so I’m happy with us focusing on any one of them! 🩷

Even better than book 1!!

I loved book one, but this book felt like it expanded the world and characters to a whole new level, and I'm now so excited for the next one! Frankly give me a book for each of the Silvers please 🙏

Premise:

Genevieve Grimm heads to Italy to seek out a man who had been writing to her dead mother, in hopes of understanding her place in the paranormal world.

However the day she enters his home, Enchantra, happens to be the day an annual hunt from hell begins. Where the cursed immortal Silver siblings fight to the death. And the only way out for a mortal, is to win.

But the game is only for the Silver family. Therefore, in order to join the game and not be killed instantly, she must marry the mysterious Rowin Silver and enter as his wife.

I adored it!!!

☠️ The world: I feel the first book just touched the surface of the hellish creatures we could meet, but this book opened our eyes fully! And not only did we get an adventure to Italy, we also got to see hell!

🖤 The romance: I do love a fake marriage, especially when the two characters bicker so much. The banter was everything! I loved their dynamic, and Vivi’s brattish and confident nature. I highlighted so much of their dialogue 🤣 And I know we see a lot of shadow daddies in romantasy, but Rowin gives a lot of them a run for their money…

“Shadows can only be seen in the presence of light. I worry when you leave, there will be no one left to see me.” 🫠

☠️ The games: I loved these games which were essentially rounds of hide and seek but with an enchanted dagger! Good old family bonding! They were a lot easier to follow than the last book but still addictive. And gave us lots of banterous and hot downtime 🥰 Plus there were twists I did NOT see coming!

🖤 The family: I demand a book for each of the Silver siblings! Never have I fallen in love with so many side characters… send help!! You can already see parts of their personalities and trauma coming through and I can't wait to see what happens to each of them 🥰 Plus I loved the return of Ophelia and Salem. With Salem just adoring Ophie 🥰🥰🥰

Ughhhhh please can I have book 3 now 🙏🙏🙏 I have many theories… But I know for sure that Sevin will not disappoint 😍

Also notes on the audio narration: Laura Horowitz could narrate every book for me frankly! Her range of voices, taking on the Italian vibes at times and so many different family members is so impressive. And not one felt out of place, making it such an immersive listen! 5 stars for her as always 🫶

Okay, so I LOVED this book! I had so much fun reading it and I laughed so many times! I love Genevieve's banter with literally everyone. And I love the romantic gestures. The spicy scenes gave what they needed to give! I'm so happy I read this!

I can't wait for the continuation of the story! I hope that Genevieve and Rowin get that pesky mortality straightened out! Ophie needs her sister around forever!

This was a fun, fast-paced read that leaned more into the magic and games this time around, which I loved. I loved the Silver siblings. Each of their personalities and powers were so interesting. My only complaint is that Genevieve and Rowin’s romance felt a bit rushed, but the twist totally made up for it. I did not see that coming! Overall, this was a solid follow-up to Phantasma and I’m excited to see where things go next.
