Good old fashioned dirty porn and just what I was looking for when I picked it up. The writing could be better, but I’ve also read worse.

Look, do I think Cinderella has been retold and rewritten enough times? Yes
Did I enjoy this particular retelling with 4 hot step brothers? Fuck yeah.
Even though for my taste, this was too cutesy, naive, and nice, I had a swell good time reading it.
It does have more spice than plot. Until the end, really, it does not read too dark, then it takes a deep dive off of that cliff.

4 1/2 stars with 5 🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️ for spice. This is a loose re-imaginging of Cinderella, where she has 4 hot stepbrothers who insta-love her instead of ugly stepsisters and is forced to sleep with people for money instead of cleaning the house.
The love Prince, Cas, Kit and Oct have for Ember from the second they meet her is what dreams are made of. There is MM in this book between the non-blood-related stepbrothers (Not the twins), but this book does meet my requirements for a full five 🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️ on the spice scale. Great read!

I love a book with some trigger warnings, and read almost exclusively dark romance and this book was 12 kinds of f@$*ed up. DNFed at 45% when it started romanticizing self harm. The first mention of SH and you think they will help her heal… nope just help her preform the act later.
This book crossed the line from taboo to incest real quick with calling each other brother and sister as terms of endearment, not to mention the twins who again go from taboo to crossing that line.
Then there is the questionable consent at no point was it implied consent just wakes up to oral sex from a stranger. There is no talk of safe words, implied consent or any form of communication of boundaries.
I wanted to like this as the description hits so many good book tropes but even looking past all the triggers this is poorly written, the same exact sentences are used multiple times and the story is predictable to the extreme. Would not recommend to anyone.
