This was very much not it for me - as soon as I read the first chapter I knew it wouldn't be my vibe, and yet I held out a slim hope that maybe, just maybe, there would be something in it to make it worthwhile. Unfortunately that was not the case. I'm generally not a fan of the omegaverse, but the writing and characters outside of that was so severely lacking, and the plot was kind of meaningless when I did not care about the leads at all.
Just nope.
Isavella was the most boring MC. She was constantly ignoring the signs and being ignorant.
Zabriel was overly patient. Was horrible and explaining and communicating.
Also how old are these people supposed to be? It definitely read like they were 12/13.

Every time they said alpha and omega I got the ick.
Also the audiobook narrators, neither of them could say their Ls. Folded was fowded. And I couldn't listen any longer.

(arc review)
Maledin is a landruled by the puritan Brethren religious order, and its people live miserable and oppressed.
When her village failed to pay its taxes, Isavelle was taken to serve the Brethren, and endured daily torture until she was literally dragged to burn at the stake.
But that's when the alpha king Zabriel - big, strong, long hair - appears, mounted on his dragon, and rescues this damsel. One sniff on the girl and he knows Isavelle is his omega, his fated mate.
Zabriel has just gotten out of a 500 year prison and is enraged that his country has been usurped, and he is even more so because the enemy was going to throw his omega into the fire and THIS BOY IS OBSESSED AND FURIOUS, that scum will pay.

This was.. hands down.. one of the BEST books Ive ever read in my life. I already loved Lilith Vincent— anything she writes, I’ll read. But a fantasy Omegaverse with DRAGONS?! OH MY GOD. I had NO IDEA i needed this so freaking badly… it is EVERYTHING.
The world building is fantastic.. It’s slow burn but with enough tension to make you sweat. The story is absolutely wonderful. The heroine isnt a “badass” but she holds her own and she’s NOT “TSTL” which is hard for a lot of authors to do.. but Lilith writes a kind, strong heroine so well.
The Hero? Omg I want one. I LOVE HIM. I love their relationship.. and I love the backstory of him and his people. Gah Im having such a hard time NOT spoiling things in this review bc so much of what I love would be genuine spoilers.
Regardless, This is in my top 5 fave romance books of 2023 and I think it would be very hard to knock it off that list. I can not WAIT for the next book and I am 1000% buying a hard copy of this baby. It. Is. Everything
*Huge thank you to the author for providing me with an ARC of the book*

Truly have no idea what I just read and didn’t know what i was getting in to but I did have fun! And that’s all that really matters. This was crazy lmao I can’t wait for the rest
Wow, you guys….wow! I fully expected for it take a few days for me to read this book but once I got into it, I couldn’t put it down! A large part of why I thought it would take me a few days is because I wasn’t a huge fan of Isavelle’s for quite a bit of this book. Don’t get me wrong, I totally understand why she had the reactions and misgivings that she did. She goes through A LOT in just the beginning of this book, and that’s only the tip what she has been put through during the previous year of her life. Add in the fact that all of a sudden things that she has always been told are myths are suddenly very real…that’s a big adjustment to have to make and some hard truths to come to terms with. BUT I just absolutely loved Zabriel so much from the very beginning that I just wanted her to get on board.
