I liked the world building and effort put into that for a fantasy shifter book, e.g. the language, the religions, etc. The dragons were cool & I enjoyed the side characters although overall the plot felt randomly cut in places. I enjoyed the slower/medium burn romance considering the usual fast-paced timeline but the FMC’s confusion and reluctance did grow tiring after a while (especially as she’d been so interested in the stories as a child). There were a few good twists at the end. I did predict one but not all of them. Would read book 2.

Wow, you guys….wow! I fully expected for it take a few days for me to read this book but once I got into it, I couldn’t put it down! A large part of why I thought it would take me a few days is because I wasn’t a huge fan of Isavelle’s for quite a bit of this book. Don’t get me wrong, I totally understand why she had the reactions and misgivings that she did. She goes through A LOT in just the beginning of this book, and that’s only the tip what she has been put through during the previous year of her life. Add in the fact that all of a sudden things that she has always been told are myths are suddenly very real…that’s a big adjustment to have to make and some hard truths to come to terms with. BUT I just absolutely loved Zabriel so much from the very beginning that I just wanted her to get on board.
I love all of Lilith Vincent’s books that I’ve read so far, so when I found out she was writing MF omegaverse romance under a different pen name, I was desperate to get my hands on it. And OMG I devoured this book!
It was written beautifully, paced really well and had great world building & character development.
The dragons absolutely stole the show for me! I loved learning about them and all the Maledinni.
The MMC, Zabriel had me squealing and smiling so hard. His patients and love for the FMC, Isavelle had my heart melting, I love him so much!!
Isavelle was one stubborn & defiant omega, I loved seeing her pushed Zabriel and test boundaries as she learnt about this new world she was now in. Their relationship progressed at the perfect pace and I just kept wanting more of them!
This book is definitely a slow burn, there wasn’t much spice until the end but I still really enjoyed it.
I will be very impatiently waiting for the next book after that rude cliffhanger too🥲

Isavelle helps Zabriel be a better leader, to understand situations and feelings he's not use to. In return, Zabriel gives Isavelle the encouragement to find her inner strength and become a fierce force.

I really really really liked zab, but i couldn't really get into the fantasy bits and the fmc felt... weird. i didnt like how she panicked and sent zab out of her nest and then felt bad about being a bad omega, but didn't do anything about it ? like she's sad and stubborn and unwilling to try.
